Vokis

Create an avatar based on a character from a book you've enjoyed.

1.  Use Voki with your log-in and password.

2.  Choose clothes, hair, style, and background that fits with the story.

3.  Give your avatar a voice: Type in the words he/she will say. Consider his/her problem in the story. Write in a way that will get someone else to want to read the book! NOTE: listen closely to the words after you have written them. You may need to spell words as they sound in order to have the avatar say them correctly. (Yikes! You might have to misspell on purpose!)

4.  Choose an accent.

5.  Publish! We'll post these on our blog.

Welcome to Tech Worms!

Hello Tech Worms!

Welcome to the after-school club where you can share books you've loved through different internet-based software programs.

This is our blog where we will post our creations.

We will create our first trailer using Photo Peach!

Look at some samples here: http://isbbooktrailers.wikispaces.com/

We will follow the same steps these students followed:

1) Fold a piece of paper into 8 squares. This is your story board.

2) Put one idea into each square. The idea may be a series of words with a picture, just words, or just a picture. Your trailer will have only music (no talking)

3) Find the images that will match your ideas. Save them into your folder.

4) Open "PhotoPeach.com" - Upload your images. Choose some music. Add your lines of text; add a space after each line.

5) Publish!
